This is a relatively easy loop around Richmond Park, although there is the option to challenge yourself to ride up Broomfield Hill if you wish!

From Ealing, we ride down to cross the river at Chiswick Bridge, and ride on through Mortlake and Sheen, to enter Richmond Park at the Sheen Gate. We ride clockwise around the Park via the Roehampton and Robin Hood Gates. The more energetic can tackle Broomfield Hill; others can take the gentler gradient via the Pen Ponds Café. Then we use the off-road Tamsin Trail to bring us up to Pembroke Lodge for our café stop. If we have time, we might explore the gardens and the remarkable view through the telescope all the way to St Paul’s!

For our return ride, we make our way via quiet back roads through Richmond, to cross back over the river at Kew Bridge. We take Cycleway 9 towards Brentford, before turning back up to Ealing.
