This ride starts at Insomnia and heads out of Thurcroft on a bridleway then across field trails and down a gravel path through PinchMill to get to Whiston Church (1 lift on this section). From here we ride up Doles Lane, a dirt/gravel bridleway, then dirt footpaths across farmland to the Wind Farm at Ulley before hitting a bit of tarmac on the small lanes to Aston. We cross the A57 high above on a large footbridge, easy to ride or walk over, no lifting required, to get to Aston Springs fishing lakes. From here its more trails into RVCP, around the lake and our stop for drinks at the lakeside cafe.
After the cafe we ride by the side of the old Worksop Chesterfield canal, under the M1, to Wales, across more fields on cinder track and dirt paths to Todwick then S.Anston.
We use the Mineral line tarmac trail to get us back to Thurcroft and Insomnia for coffee before Goodbye's.
There are a few climbs and descents along the route but nothing major or very steep.

Scenic ride, mostly off road, circular route from Thurcroft to RVCP and back, with no BIG climbs :-)

Bridleways, field trails, gravel tracks, small tarmac lanes, dirt paths, old railway trails.

Coffee stop at RVCP Cafe at around 13miles, and Insomnia at ride end.

Always wear a helmet and riding gear to suit the weather (ie gloves, boots, jacket etc) ALWAYS carry a puncture kit and a spare tube, PLUS some method of reinflation for your tyre. Bring some form of payment means for the cafe stops, cash and a card is good.

We welcome and encourage riders to join us, first timers or regular riders, all are welcome. We are a friendly bunch and we wont leave anyone stranded.
