This challenging but leisurely paced out-and-back ride starts from nearby streets to Clayton Vale then upon exiting this country park, follows quiet country lanes through the Medlock Valley before passing through the outskirts of Daisy Nook and over Hartshead Pike, where you'll feel a world away from the hustle-and-bustle of Manchester.  There's a well earned refreshment stop after reaching the picturesque village of Uppermill at Newbank Garden Centre in Dobcross before returning, along the same route but in reverse, back to the Velodrome.
