PEDAL ON UK

A gentle breeze from Southampton Common to Riverside Park to meet up with the Pedal On UK riders arriving here on their celebratory ride across the UK.   PICK UP POINTS:  Mount Pleasant School/ Ropewalk Garden  Derby Rd  at 2.45. RETURN RIDE:   at 6.00pm Celebrating dozens of new walking and cycling networks, Pedal On UK will reignite the spirit of the Olympic and Paralympic torch relays as it travels across the UK between 16th August and 7th September 2013. Starting at the Olympic Park in London, groups of volunteers, headed up by celebrities and sports stars, will take Pedal On UK to over 35 communities in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland, ending in a final celebration in Glasgow. The Pedal On UK tour will arrive in Southampton on Monday 19th August.  Show your support and join in the Southampton event after work at Riverside Park, on Monday 19th August, between 3pm and 7pm.  Challenge your colleagues to a Rollapaluza race, watch a film at the cycle cinema, try a bike, eat, drink, listen to live music, and much more.  There are kids' activities too, so bring the family!
