Oyster Belles - Grove Ferry to St Margaret's-at-Cliffe

This is a no drop ride. Starting at Grove Ferry picnic site, we head out towards Wingham and then on through Eythorn, East Langdon arrive at St Margaret's-at-Cliffe. This first half of the ride is the hilliest with most of the elevations. After refreshments we head off back through St Margaret's and then take a welcome right turn to the downhill traffic free section into Kingsdown and Deal. We continue through Deal, into Sandwich and on to Elmstone and Preston and eventually arriving back at our start point at Grove Ferry.

A ride that we have not done for a while out to St Margaret's-at-Cliffe with some hilly bits during the first half followed by a nice and flat second half.

Most of the riding will be on country roads with some traffic. Also some busier sections with heavier traffic.

The main refreshment stop will be at one of the cafes at St Margaret's-at-Cliffe. There will of course be short, brief water stops along the way and the opportunity to take photographs.

Helmets are strongly recommended. Also carry with you essential medication you rely upon; fluids; any snacks you rely upon during a longer ride; innertube for your bike and tools to remove the wheel and tyre; dress for the weather, layering is best.
