Ormskirk to Rivington Ride with Kettle Crisps

From the Station we head out towards Lathom, Hoscar heading towards Heskin Green via Andertons Mill. Then on to Heath Charnock via Coppull, dropping in to Rivington for our main break for 30 minutes.
After the break we head Standish via Horwich and Black Rod where we hit a sort sharp climb. From Standish we weave our way to Shevington and Appley Bridge, then climb up to Dalton before dropping into Westhead and finally back to Ormskirk Station.

This is a hilly ride of 2300 feet but only one short sharp climb between Horwich and Black Rod. There are some main roads but they are kept to a minimum.
