Come along and join Helen and Lisa for this easy going Friday morning ride.

The route begins in the car park at Go Ape, where free parking and toilet facilities are available. This ride is a mixture of roads, trail paths and canal tow paths. Average speed 6-8 mph. Elevation 183m.

We will leave Go Ape behind and head over to The Street. From there we will head along Back Lane and pick up the canal which takes us into Chorley for our café stop at the Old Stables.

The return journey is slightly different and there are a couple of inclines along the way. We will tackle these together and have a rest and a drink when needed.

Please arrive 15 mins early for a bike and helmet check so that we can set off promptly at 10am. Remember to bring a spare inner tube and pump and, of course, your helmet. No helmet, no ride.

You will need to bring a bike lock and some money for the café stop and a drink for along the way.

If you are not already a member of Horwich Ride Social then please email [email protected] for a membership form prior to the ride.

Photographs will be taken during the ride. Please let a ride leader know if you would prefer not to appear in any of them.
