Starting a t Tweedbank Railway Station, this route takes us on mainly quiet and traffic free roads towards Selkirk. We will follow the Black Path towards Galafoot and then onto Lindean via Boleside joining the A7 cycle path. In Selkirk we will head towards Ettrick Bridge and then on towards The Bowhill Estate, on quiet country roads, where we will stop at Newark Tower for photos and to have a drink and snacks if required. We will then head back towards Selkirk along the A708, stopping at the Waterwheel cafe for coffee and a bite. Back then to Selkirk and Tweedbank, retracing our outward route along Boleside etc.
Please remember to bring a spare inner tube and tools for your bike, as well as cash/card for the cafe. A drink and snacks too. Cycle helmets are mandatory.
A riding pace of 10-12 miles per hour, this is a steady ride.We never leave anyone behind
