EX16 4DB

Welcome to the first in our little ride series loosely based around National Cycle Route 3 in the Tiverton area. If you’ve ever had the pleasure of walking or cycling along the Grand Western towpath between Manley Bridge and Crown Hill, you’ve already sampled some of the delights of this great local amenity, but there’s so much more to it than that, including lots of (usually!) quiet back lanes and spectacular views. Route link is here: https://ridewithgps.com/trips/65770933

Meet at the start of the old railway line, Horsdon Road (car parking nearby, on Old Road) EX16 4DE

Socially paced British Cycling Guided Ride, with an average speed around 10-ish miles an hour, total distance 30-ish miles, stopping for photos and chocolate as and when required. There may be some stretches along slightly rougher terrain such as the old railway line and towpath, but mostly we’ll be on back roads. It’s not a ride for PBs or Strava cups, but the pace will be steady, so you will need to be comfortable with a ride of this distance/duration.

We never leave anyone behind. Any questions? Please just ask and we’ll do our best to answer.

Important (if dull) stuff:
In view of COVID-19 we will follow British Cycling guidelines. Please note the following:
We will not share any equipment so please be organised and bring your own items eg drink, spare inner tube, tyre levers and pump, sun cream and hand sanitiser.
You should pay particular attention to your bike being in good working order before attending a ride so as to minimise risks and disruption to rides.
We will ride taking social distancing into account. At the time of writing British Cycling recommend riding at least 1m apart.
Participants must not attend a ride if they have COVID-19 symptoms or have been in contact with anyone with symptoms. Do not attend this ride if you have returned from (anywhere) abroad in the last 2 weeks
Anyone who develops COVID-19 symptoms during a ride must inform a leader.
Anyone who develops COVID symptoms after a ride must contact the leader who will inform British Cycling HQ who will then contact everyone who attended the ride. You can contact the leader directly via the ‘Message Ride Creator’ tab in the ride posting on let’s ride unless you have their direct contact details already.
