Mid Week Meetup - Trip To Twin Lake Velo

Leaving the car park of Alison Arms we travel towards Back Lane Chorely and onwards to Eccleston. The roads will be a mixture of busy and quiet lanes passing through scenic countryside. There are some busy lanes and junctions which we will always tackle together. This is a fairly flat route, with some short off road sections.

Come and join us on this lovely scenic route over to the famous Twin Lake Velo at Croston.

We will be travelling along a mixture of quiet country lanes with some busier roads and single track lanes all the way to the quaint, picture perfect village of Croston.

The Twin Lakes venue will be our cafe stop around halfway along the route, We will also stop at intervals to take in the views and to take photographs for our social media. If you would prefer not to have your photo taken please inform your leaders on the day.

Be sure to equip yourselves with spare inner tubes, tyre leavers and a pump in case of mechanical breakdown. Also please check your bike over the night before to avoid delays at the start. As on all HRS rides helmets must be worn - no helmet no ride! Please also bring along a drink, and some form of payment (cash preferred has been indicated but not essential) at the cafe. If you are not already a member of Horwich Ride social then please email horwichridesocial.com for membership form prior to the ride. You can also download a form from the website, horwichridesocial.org fill it in and return ibefore the ride. Should you be unable to do this a paper form will be provided on the ride.
