Mid-Week Meet Up - Wheelton Twist

Come along and join us for our first midweek meet up ride series of 2026.

The route begins in the car park at Lucianos, where free parking is available, and takes us through the lovely countryside around Rivington and Wheelton. The route incorporates a mixture of canals, lanes and some roads. There are a couple of inclines but we will tackle these together and no-one is ever left behind.

These rides are part of our Winter Miles Summer Smiles cycling challenge for January and February. Please ensure that you wrap up warm.

Average speed = 8-10 mph.

Please arrive 15 mins early for a bike and helmet check so that we can set off promptly at 10am. Remember to bring a spare inner tube and pump and, of course, your helmet. No helmet, no ride. You will also need to bring some money for the café stop.

If you are not already a member of Horwich Ride Social then please email [email protected] for a membership form prior to the ride. You can also download a form off the website, horwichridesocial.org and return it before the ride.

Photographs will be taken during the ride which will be shared on our social media. Please let a ride leader know if you would prefer not to appear in any of them.
