Mid-Week Meet Up - Springtime at Haigh

Come along and join us for this steady hybrid ride from Rivington to Haigh Hall.

The route begins in the car park at Go Ape where free parking and toilet facilities are available.

On leaving Rivington we head out towards Adlington where we will join the canal towpath as far as Wigan Golf Course. We will then rejoin the canal at Red Rock until we arrive at Haigh Country Park. After a café stop in the courtyard, we will leave the park along the road heading towards Blackrod and Horwich. After one more detour off road along the way we will finish our ride by heading back to the start point via Lucianos at the Millstone and Horrobin Lane.

Elevation 233m. Average speed 8mph.

Please arrive 15 mins early for a bike and helmet check so that we can set off promptly at 10am. Remember to bring a spare inner tube, pump, bike lock and, of course, your helmet. No helmet, no ride.

You can bring your own snack and drink if you prefer to sit outside at the café stop.
