We go through Saltaire to reach the top of Moorhead Lane and then head past Wilsden before crossing Hewenden & Thornton Viaducts and making our way out of Cullingworth to the Guide Inn. We drop down to Crossroads and then Haworth towards Stanbury before climbing up past Lower Laithe Reservoir and across Penistone Hill Country Park to reach Oxenhope Station. Suitably refreshed we climb out of Oxenhope before turning across the moor towards Denholme when we reach the Dog & Gun. Before entering Denholme we drop down Whalley Lane and cross the moors, this time to go through Wilsden en route to Harden and St Ives. Exiting St Ives we coast down into Bingley and join the canal at Wagon Lane/Dowley Gap for a short final section to Hirst Lock.

Another figure of eight route, this time to Keighley & Worth Valley station at Oxenhope when diesel and steam trains will be running.

Apart from sections across Hewenden & Thornton viaducts and then through St Ives and the canal from Bingley to Hirst Wood, all is on road though generally traffic light.

We will break for lunch at Oxenhope where there is inside and outside seating. A steam train will be due at 1pm and we will aim to get there in good time to see it arrive, and possibly depart.

Helmets needed as is some hi-vis outerwear. Spare inner tube as a minimum along with weather appropriate clothing - forecast at present is favourable. Also make sure that batteries on e-bikes are fully charged and your brakes are in good working order. Will you also make sure that your contact and emergency contact details are up to date on the website.

We never leave anyone behind
