Starting point

West Yorkshire
BD18 4DD

It is a circular ride heading out west from Hirst Wood and turning back at Haworth to connect with your inner Cathy or Heathcliffe or vocal Kate Bush.
This is an all on road ride which is 23 miles long and with 2,500ft of ascents.
The roads are mainly rural or quiet residential with main road exposure kept to a minimum - Garmin states that only 1% is high traffic.
We follow the familiar route from Hirst Wood through Saltaire to the top of Moorhead before passing through Sandy Lane to pick up the open moorland above Allerton and Wilsden. Exiting Whalley Lane on the edge of Denholme we make our way towards Leeming and Oxenhope (going downhill for a change), and then skirt Penistone Hill Country Park in order to get into Haworth.
Suitably refreshed, we go past the Keighley & Worth Valley station en route to Cross Roads and more open moorland down through Ryecroft in order to get to Wilsden via Harden. We will follow Lee Lane towards Cottingley before cutting through Nab Wood and Saltaire back to our finish point.

We will stop in Haworth centre where there are numerous eateries, both to sit in and take away.

Helmets are a must as is some hi-vis outerwear. Make sure you have a spare inner tube at least and that your brakes, tyres etc are in good condition. Check that the British Cycling website has up to date personal and emergency contact details.

We never leave anyone behind
