a mainly off road route, across lots of open contryside, some woodland trails, some TPT, some sirt trails across fields, and some hard tarmac surface too.

Going by the weather forecast this may be the last dry day we get for a while. So, I'm planning to do a ride out into north Notts while the trails are still dryish and firmish

Its mainly OFF ROAD, just a bit of quiet lane riding, and a mixed terrain & surfaces - dirt, gravel, grass, trails tracks & paths. There will be some swing gates where you'll need to do the back wheel manoeuvre, and there may Possibly be a lift over too.

I'm planning 2 stops, 1st at The Harley Cafe or coffee truck at The Dukeries cafe @18miles in. 2nd stop @ Ashgate Coffee cafe in Clowne @ 32miles in. And, there is an optional stop at the Thornbury animal sanctuary at Dinnington ride end if desired.

Always wear a helmet and suitable riding/safety gear. ALWAYS have with you some means of fixing a FLAT tyre - new inner tube, puncture repair kit, tubeless repair kit, etc, AND make sure you have some means of reinflating the tyre - pump or gas canisters.

You are very welcome to join us, we HOPE YOU DO, but here’s a few things to consider first - Our routes are designed for pedal power bikes, we don’t consider eBikes and their weight when planning these routes. We will encounter some loose gravel, stones and dirt on the trails and there will be overgrown vegetation too, so you'll need to be able to cope with these things. At various points on our routes we will need to negotiate a swing gate or two, some 'A' Frames and maybe a stile, so you'll need to be able to lift your bike onto its back wheel to manoeuvre it through these obstacles, and maybe even lift it over a stile. It is definitely not a race, but we do usually average around 10mph on these cross country rides so you'll need to be fairly fit. If these things sound fine to you and they don't put you off you are very welcome to join us. We look forward to meeting you
