September 2017 marks 70 years since the birth and 40 years since the untimely death of the legendary Marc Bolan.
We will track his 29 years in 29 miles. We start at his school where he played guitar with fellow pupil Helen Shapiro. We stop nearby at his childhood home and the only Blue Plaque in his memory. We then follow the quietway of CSH1 in to London and the site of the 2i's Coffee Bar which was the meeting place for pop stars in the 60's
Our next stop is Marc's home from 1971 in Great Cumberland Place. From here we head to Berkeley Square and Morton's Club where Marc spent his last night. We "trace" his final journey to the Marc Bolan's Rock Shrine in Gypsy Lane before heading the short distance to the house he shared with Gloria Jones.
We then follow the Thames back to central London.
