Starting from - Meet in the Blackbird Cafe courtyard at The Pavilion on the Park on Kingfisher Rd at Fleming Park. There is a cafe and toilets and carparking here. Note it is the southern end of Fleming Park, not the leisure centre end. We will have two pick up points :

Leaving Blackbird Cafe at The Pavilion on the Park at south end of Fleming Park Eastleigh, we will take the NCN route south via Magpie Lane picking up Stoneham Lane using the new segregated cyclepath if available or stay on road and turning off via Channels Farm Rd to the toucan crossing over Stoneham Way under the railway arch into Wessex Lane (first pick up point Swaythling Station) and left via Woodmill Lane to join Riverside Park shared use cyclepath (second pick up point the learner cycle track by miniature railway.) We continue up and across Cobden Bridge and left onto Priory Rd and Horseshoe Bridge then left onto The Boardwalk beside River Itchen and views across to the Roman province Clausentum We continue on NCN route through Radcliffe Rd Homezone and into St Mary's Stadium.

This is a special feeder ride from Fleming Park Eastleigh to Southampton Let’s Ride Event at St Mary’s Stadium with pick up points at Swaythling Station and Riverside Park.

Most of the route will be along shared cycle paths, quieter roads, suburban streets and city parks with a couple of crossings over busier roads.

We will stop at Swaythling Station to pick up joining riders at 09:50, and again pick up at the learner's cycle track near miniature railway in Riverside Park at 10:10.

Bring extra layer and gear for being outdoors most of day with water to drink, a well maintained bike and tyres checked before the event. Bring spare inner tubes, pump and a bike lock.

Children are welcome on own bikes if they can ride 7miles at 7mph but if not attached to/ riding on a parent's bike
