This should be a lovely, short, looped autumnal ride through Stanmer Park woods. At the time of writing the weather predictions are looking very fair. It is a traffic free ride and completely off road.
We start at Circa in the Park Cafe at 9.15am for a 9.30am start, at the entrance of Stanmer Park, off Lewes Road. Grab a coffee if you get there early. There are also public loos available here. We will head up into the wood and continue until we finish our loop.

This is a categorised as a steady ride - but be aware the first half of this ride is all up hill and quite steep in parts, so you will need moderate fitness levels to get up those hills and be confident in how your bike handles in gravel and loose mud.

Therefore, this ride is not suitable for road bikes or hybrid road bikes as you will need 'nobbly tyres' on your gravel or mountain bike. I am expecting the meadow and woodland to be soft, slippy in parts with some muddy patches.

Please make sure your bikes and brakes are in good working order before you leave your home. Dress appropriately according to the temperature on the day. Helmets are a must. Bring some snacks and a water bottle as we will be stopping to soak up the views the ride presents us.
