The surfaces and terrain we tend to cycle is a variation of tarmac, gravel, and canal tow paths.
Tarmac surfaces are mainly of quiet side roads and busy main roads. The canals can be muddy, uneven, have gravel, slippery old stones and hidden mooring hooks.
