Starting point

Greater Manchester
WN7 2LA

This ride explores the Bridgewater Way and upgraded paths as the result of the Bee Network and Mayors Challenge Fund projects.

There is a intended route published below however variations of routes are possible which depends on weather, and level of group fitness, options to go further if desired.

It's a flat scenic route using the Bridgewater Canal and Roe Green Line from which we take a short steep hill and track to enter Worsley Woods dropping down to the Kempnough Brook then under the M60 to ride past Old Warke Dam and historic Worsley Delph where we may stop for a coffee. The return route will use the excellent new paths past the RHS Bridgewater.

You will need appropriate clothing for the weather. Ideally you should bring cash or card if you intend to purchase refreshments, a spare inner tube, pump, basic tools and a puncture repair kit

Helmets must be worn.
