A short, winter-warmer spin from Leavesden Cycle Hub to Blackwells cafe, Chipperfield. Join me for a lovely ride through winding country lanes. We will work up an appetite with a climb up Old House Lane and head through Belsize, reaching Chipperfield for a good afternoon snack before returning back to Leavesden.
This ride is short with some steep hills, and is suitable for all bikes, however, road bikes with wider tyres are recommended due to the recent poor weather and debris / potholes. Lights are also advisable along the shadier lanes. Do bring water, money for the cafe, a spare inner tube and have an alternative means of getting back if you are unable to fix a puncture.
