Leavesden Cycle Hub - Springing To Sandridge

If you have been hibernating this winter, why not come out on a ride and enjoy the first signs of spring? We will be starting at Leavesden Cycle Hub for a steady morning out towards the lovely Heartwood Tea Rooms in Sandridge. We will be cycling along quiet lanes through Potters Crouch and St Albans Verulamium Park. There are a few hills but no one will be left behind, and there will be the chance to have a well-earned cuppa at the end when we return to Leavesden.

This ride is suitable for all bikes, but hybrids and road bikes with wider tyres are recommended due to the recent poor weather and potholes / debris on the lanes. Do ensure your bike is in good working order, particularly if it has not been used for a while. Bring water, money for the café and layers appropriate for the weather conditions. Also snacks if you think you'll be hungry before the tea stop. Do bring 1-2 spare inner tubes in case of puncture (more than 1 has been known!), and have an alternative means of getting home if you are unable to fix a puncture. Lights are recommended for the shadier lanes. Looking forward to seeing you there!
