We start at Radyr Weir and then we then head up the Taff Trail towards Tongwynlais and then onto Caerphilly. We will cycle through Caerphilly centre and head towards Bedwas. We continue on cycle paths heading for Machen and then on quiet country lanes (Cycle Route 4) to Draethen, Michaelston y Fedw and over the hill to Bassleg. After A busy road in Bassleg we join another cycleway to Cleppa Park for a cafe stop. We then cycle through Marshfield and continue to Old St Mellons. We eventually hit the Eastern suburbs of Cardiff and cross through Cyncoed and Rhiwbina, Whitchurch and back to Radyr Weir.

A lovely loop through the lanes and trails around Cardiff and Caerphilly, with a Cafe stop in the middle.  This is a 35 mile ride, with approx. 2,000ft climbing including a couple of steeper (but very short) climbs.

We will be on the Taff Trail, suburban roads, busier roads through Caerphilly and quiet narrow country lanes.    This ride would be suitable for all types of bikes.

We will be stopping in a cafe at Cleppa Park which is near Tredegar House three quarters of the way round the ride.

Please wear a helmet and bring some money for a drink and a bite to eat at the café.

We never leave anyone behind
