This is a one-way ride from Ealing into Central London. The aim of the ride is to visit the quirky exhibition “Kate’s Knitalian” at the Air Contemporary Gallery in Soho (admission free of charge).

Details of the exhibition are here: https://www.air-contemporary.com/exhibitions/64-kate-jenkins-kate-s-knitalian/

** If you are not interested in visiting the exhibition, please do not book this ride unless there are spaces available no sooner than two days beforehand, so that those who do want to see the exhibition have priority.**

** We will use segregated cycletracks and quieter back roads where possible. However, you will need experience and confidence in riding in city traffic as we will be navigating some busy roads and junctions.**

From Ealing, we ride down to Kew Bridge and take Cycleway 9 through Chiswick and Hammersmith, then turn up to skirt the edge of Shepherd’s Bush and make our way to Holland Park for a brief pause.

We ride on into Kensington Gardens, across into Hyde Park, and over the Serpentine to leave the Park on the northern side. We follow Cycleway 27 through Marylebone, before turning down into Soho. We will park our bikes on the few bike stands and pieces of street furniture that we can find on these busy streets, and head over to Bill’s on Brewer Street https://bills-website.co.uk/restaurants/soho/ where we have a table booked for refreshments.

We will then walk a short distance to the Air Contemporary Gallery to enjoy the exhibition.
You are free to make your way home in your own time. Tottenham Court Road (Elizabeth Line) is a short distance away, and we are also close to Euston or King’s Cross/St Pancras.
