It's the weekend! Manston IP

Manston Independent Pedaler is one of my favourite places to go for coffee. The ride is also a favourite, riding on coastal and country roads. Starting in Hampton, we will ride through the village of Broomfield and through the hamlets of Highstead and Marshside. Picking up part of the Viking Trail and heading towards St Nicholas-at-Wade, we continue through Monkton, ride alongside the Manston Airport air strip and into the village of Manston itself. On leaving Manston, our route takes us through Birchington-on-Sea and onto Minnis Bay where we will pick up the coastal path all the way to Reculver Towers. Our ride then continues on into Herne Bay and back to the start point.

Coast and country ride to Manston Independent Pedaler

We will be riding on coastal roads and country roads, with some coastal cycle path. Please note these paths may be busy with other path users.

Stop will be the Independent Pedaler.

Helmets, though not compulsory, are strongly advised. Other things to bring - dress for the weather (and sunscreen); inner tube and tools to change that inner tube; finances - card - for the refreshment stop (they do not take cash); your bike must be in a roadworthy condition; essential medication; fluids.
