A spring ride to get to see more of Richmond Park. We stop for 2 visits in the park – one the stunning Isabella Plantation, which will hopefully be filled with azaleas and rhododendrons, and the other King Henry’s Mound, with its tree-framed view of St Paul’s Cathedral 12 miles away. On our way back home, we also stop to admire the quirky mausoleum of Sir Richard Burton in Mortlake.
We cycle through Ravenscourt Park, Hammersmith Bridge, Barnes, Mortlake and Chiswick. We ride over some gravel paths but mainly on roads, so most bicycles are suitable.
We will stop for lunch at Richmond Park at Pembroke Lodge Cafe. We aim to be back at Roundwood Park around 4pm.
