International Women's Day - Some Great Women in London

This route begins at Baker Street Station and ends at Kings Cross. You can take your bike on the Metropolitan Line any time on a Saturday. If you're worried about carrying your bike up steps at Baker Street please message the leader beforehand and we will help. There are lifts at KX.

We will ride through Bloomsbury and Camden Town, visiting sites associated with women as varied as Virginia Woolf, Mary Wollstonecraft and Amy Winehouse. The streets should be quiet, as we are beginning early, and there will be time to take photos and contribute your own stories. We stop for coffee and more at Luminary Bakery, a project empowering marginalised women in Stoke Newington https://luminarybakery.com/pages/about-us before returning through Islington to Kings Cross.

Breeze rides are fun, friendly and free and we always go at the pace of the slowest. Please ensure your bike is roadworthy: pump up the tyres beforehand and check the brakes work and the wheels turn. Get it checked out if you're not sure. Bring water, a bike lock and card for the train and cafe.
