Starting point

This is a mainly flat route with some beautiful off-road sections. It isn't a ride for beginners as there are sections in traffic. A hybrid, or road bike with tyres with grip, are best as there could be a bit of mud in one place. We aim to get to the Cycle Circuit for 12, lunch till 1, skills session (optional) 1-2pm and leave at 2.15. The ladies at the club are very friendly, glad to welcome Breeze for this celebration and are laying on a simple and inexpensive lunch as well as hot drinks and cake.

This ride is to celebrate International Women's Day. We're meeting other Breeze groups, and the Minet Ladies' Cycling Club.

The way out is mostly on quiet streets with some off-road, including a beautiful lane through a wood. On the way back we'll take the canal towpath and mostly off-road paths, with a short section in traffic.

We'll have lunch at the Hillingdon Cycle Circuit clubhouse before trying out the circuit. You can join the club for a one-hour skills session (£4) or just cycle the circuit in your own time.

You don't need a helmet for the ride, but you do for the cycle circuit (£1 to hire if necessary). Bring money for lunch and a water bottle.

We never leave anyone behind
