From the Meadows we'll wind our way to the Innocent Tunnel and along the Innocent path to Brunstane where we'll pick up cycle route 1 to Newhailes.
After a cafe stop and the Maids and Matriarchs Tour we'll head back a different way via QMU, Edmonstone, Shawfair, Little France, Craigmillar Castle Park, and the quiet route through Prestonfield, Mayfield, the Grange and Sciennes back to the Meadows

A cycle to Newhailes for a pre-booked Maids and Matriarchs Tour, for those who have previously expressed an interest in the tour

A mix of shared paths, cycleways, quiet country roads, residential roads and short sections of busier roads

Well stop periodically to catch our breath. Plus a cafe stop at Newhailes before the 12noon tour.

Helmets recommended. Spare inner tube, pump, repair kit. Bike lock. Bank card for cafe. Means of getting home in case of mechanical breakdown
