International Women's Day Bury Breeze Ride

Leaving from Burrs Country Park at the front car park, the wheel with the birds and fish on it, we will pick up Manchester Road to Sunnybank area, round a couple of back roads and onto the top road and Cheetham Hill, then down Woodlands Road and head towards the National Cycling Centre in Manchester. We will enjoy the event there and then return a similar reverse route back. We will aim to have a couple of hours at the event. This is not a beginners ride and we are aiming for 10mph to get the most out of the ride, the event and the day.

Small section of traffic free areas, main roads with junctions and quieter back roads.

We will be cycling to the National Cycling Centre where there is apparently free tea and coffee available but bring cash or card for the cafe if you want something to eat.

Helmets are compulsory, please bring cash or card for cafe, ensure your bike is in good working order with tyres pumped up and have a spare inner tube available in your bike's size. Please ensure you are visible with lights as this is a road ride and weather could be changeable!
