This is our weekly intermediate guided ride, which is up to 15 miles long (24km) and usually lasts up to 2.5 hours at a gentle pace with sufficient breaks. This ride is aimed at people who want to expand their knowledge of local cycling routes and increase their ride length in a welcoming, friendly group.
Our intermediate routes are made up of a mixture of traffic-free cycle paths and on-road riding. You will need to feel comfortable with cycling on the road where there may be cars, but we will support you and cycle in a group so no one has to cycle alone.
We will have a couple of breaks to have a drink of water and a chat to make sure everyone is happy and feeling good about the cycle. We sometimes have a stop at a café on the route or afterwards, to warm up and catch up after being outdoors, but this is optional.
We can offer people a bicycle and a helmet to borrow for the ride, so you only need to bring yourself, some comfortable clothes and a bottle of water to keep you hydrated. You can bring your own bicycle if you'd prefer though!
We especially welcome newbies!
