I want to go for a bike ride and I want some cake!!!!

Autumn has arrived, its getting colder, Its getting darker, and it just keeps on raining causing most of the cycle tracks in Sunderland to be flooded.

However, that’s not gonna stop us, we want some coffee and cake!!!!!!

Join me this Sunday 24th November for a 14-mile ride out, going over the Northern Spire Bridge, along the C2C to Elm Tree Farm Tearoom in Washington and back again.


Starting at Keels Square in Sunderland, we follow off road cycle paths across the city towards Pallion and then across the new Northern Spire Bridge. Here we join C2C Route 7 and head west towards Washington.

Of Course, this route needs a couple of small puddles for us to enjoy and these can be found on the track next to the Sunderland Highway. At the end of this track its back onto cycle paths where we cycle the outskirts of Nissan, arriving at Elm Tree Farm for some delicious food.

For the return journey we go back the same way to the C2C route 7 but, cycle back all the way to the Stadium of Light, across The Wearmouth Bridge and back to Keels Square.
