Starting at Ancrum Cross Keys adjacent to village green in Ancrum we go along the A6400 cross over the A68 and continue on this road through Nisbet to Roxburgh and the on to Roxburgh Mains!
We join the A699 into Kelso going over the Teviot and the Tweed and go through Kelso on the cobbles on A6089 bearing right on the B6364 to Stichill!
Continue through Stichill we take a left after Stichill Home Farm to Homebyres on an unclassified road!
Through Hombyres we take a right at Hume Orchard!
Up through Cragside and Hume Castle. There we will leave the bikes ( bring a lock if you have one and walk up to the castle for superb views of the surrounding countryside ( well worth the climb on the bikes)
From there after taking in the views we resume our ride to the War Memorial were we take a right to Hume hall and Legars
We then take a left and right to Stichill Eastfield and then a first right to join the cycle way No 1 to Ednam over Eden Water. On entry to Kelso we take the left at the first roundabout and a right at the second roundabout heading into our refreshment stop at Season Cafe!
From here we head back to Ancrum over the two bridges and turning to Roxburgh mains off the A699! Continue to Nisbet and Ancrum crossing the A68 once more.
