Just because the evenings are getting darker and colder doesn’t mean we stop cycling!!!!!
Hello and welcome to the Houghton Rectory Rides community group. We are a group of cyclists who enjoy a sociable no one gets left behind ride around the Sunderland Coalfields including Houghton, Hetton, Murton, Seaham, Herrington etc. We are good at connecting all the missing off-road routes.
We meet on a Monday evening at 6.30pm just outside Houghton Rectory Park at the corner where Kimmitt and Roberts is. Our rides normally last about 2 hours (10 – 15 miles). The route for each week will be decided by the group on the evening of the ride.
• On these rides we will be cycling over a variety of different terrains including quiet roads, cycle paths, shared paths, old Waggonways, therefore, this ride is only suitable for Hybrids and Mountain bikes. E-bikes riders are very welcome to join us.
