Its not a long route, only 21miloes, but its a very nice ride. Its uses mainly bridleways and one or two paths across fields, which are well use by bikers. There is a couple of the modern 'Kiss Gates' along this route so you'll need to be able to 'back wheel' your bike to negotiate them or lift them over the adjacent gate, nothing thats very difficult.

This ride is suitable for bikes with off road tyres, there may be mud, it may be slippy. This is a cross country ride with some lovely scenery over to Hodsock Priory from Insomnia in Thurcroft. Its a nice steady route with no BIG climbs and plenty of traffic free sections.

Starting off on the Mineral Trail (old railway line) to Dinnington, then up n over the old colliery spoil heap (now a park) then thru a small wood and across fields at the back of The Butterfly House to take us to Carlton-in-Lindrick From here its bridleway to Hodsock, mainly firm surface, then bridleways to Langold, Refreshment stop in the park at Langold, then thru another wood and over to Firbeck. From Firbck its small lanes to Laughton and Thurcroft with another coffee stop at Insomnia - cant beat their Coffee & Muffin deal at £3 !! :-)

Cafe in the park at Langold or at Ma Barkers on the high street, both good for bacon butties etc. Insomnia in Thurcroft for hot drink and a bun :)

Helmets must be worn, a BELL is good, so are lights, hi vis clothing is a great idea, cash & card for cafe stops, puncture repair kit, spare tube, etc

We dont bite, come and give us a try, you wont get left out in the stix on your own, but we do like a decent ride pace. We tend to average around 10mph on most rides.
