Hirst Lock - Esholt Woods - Apperley Bridge

Setting off down the towpath towards Shipley, we will come off at Buck bridge and follow the trail coming out at the Old Barn in Esholt (there is an alternative route if you don’t want to ride across the field)

Heading into Esholt we will cut up the path beside the Woolpack onto the road then trail through Esholt woods, there is a choice of two depending on riders, coming out on Apperley Lane dropping down Harrogate Road. Depending on riders confidence we will either pick towpath up or road and head to Marina Cafe.

This is a towpath ride, it will be busy with walkers, runners, dogs and other cyclists but we will take it steady
