Heaton Park, St Margaret's Road Entrance. Meet in first car park on left 250 yards after entering the park

Our route skirts several small north Manchester villages. We start with a short circular ride around the central area of Heaton Park before heading to Simister where we take a reasonably well surfaced farm track then stretches of quiet roads and cycle tracks through Birch, Pilsworth and on to the Gigg area of Bury via the Roch Valley Greenway. A short stretch of road then takes us to the Whitefield cobbles and into Unsworth. Following a little more off and on road we arrive back at Heaton park for well deserved refreshments at the park's Hidden Gem tea room. The Route takes us past two notable sculptures the "mask" by Mitzi Cunliffe and "droplets" by Mark Gellard.
