Heaton Park Explorer up 'Harry Hill' Cycleway towards Let's Fress Deli

We leave Cutting Room Square in Ancoats via minor & major roads to Heaton Park then we do a circular loop around its boundary, towards Heywood then up Harry (Heaton) Hill Cycle Way back to Bury & stopping at Let's Fress Deli in Whitefield for fresh bagels & spreads (to takeaway) before stopping for lunch at the café (they serve full-fat cow's milk & proper chips!) by the Boating Lakeside inside Heaton Park. We'll return to Ancoats via major & minor roads through Harpurhey onto the cycle paths inside Moston Vale & finally finishing the ride on the towpaths of Rochdale Canal.

The ride is only deemed CHALLENGING, despite being <30 miles, due to the undulating terrain on the outskirts of Heaton Park where winding roads & country lanes, although not too steep, are more than 1.5 miles long at one stage so require a good level of fitness but riders tackle climbs at their own pace and we'll regroup at the top to wait for everyone.
