About the route
Starting point
Heaton Park, St Margaret's Road Entrance. Meet in first car park on left 200 yards after entering the park,
We start our ride in Heaton Park where we travel on service roads and well surfaced paths to complete a 4 mile jaunt exploring the parklands and stunning woodlands of this magnificent facility. The route ventures out of the park's perimeter to take a circular route through the fringe of some of north Manchester's farmland using quiet suburban roads and cycle paths.
