Meet at the ticket office at 10:00 at Heald Green train station. Then the 555 cycle track to the A6. And 200 metres of A6 to Threaphurst Lane to the white farmhouse and access to Middlewood Way. At the end by The Railway Inn, cross the A6101 to Dale Road and through the housing estate to Marple Locks and the AQUADUCT. Then to the Locks Coffee House for toilet and drinks. A pleasant return along Waterside to Hawk Green and back onto Middlewood Way to the 2nd pitstop which is The Kingfisher in Poynton. Where hot food can be ordered overlooking the locked bikes. Then about 6 miles back to Heald Green Station.

Mostly flat and little or no traffic but some short steep hills. Good fitness required.
