THIS RIDE: a long route through parks and cycle lanes in Southwest London to visit the open day of Hampton Court Gardens. You need to be confident cycling in regular traffic as we navigate some busy sections and roads.
DESTINATION: as we move along the route, we will stop at 3 places. The first is a quick coffee break at Richmond Park. Our next stop is Hampton Court, where we will stay for a while, visiting the gardens and having lunch. Please bring bike locks. On our way back, we stop at Syon Park one last time for a quick coffee and the toilets.
THE ROUTE: quiet roads and cycle lanes through Hammersmith, Richmond Park and the Riverside by Canbury Gardens in Kingston on the way in. On the way back, we cut through Bushy Park and cycle along a mix of quiet and busy roads in Teddington, Twickenham Stadium and Brentford.
We aim to be back at Roundwood Park at round 5pm.
