Our last ride before Christmas is an easy-going local ride, taking in some familiar landmarks.

We make our way onto Cycleway 9 through Chiswick and into Hammersmith, where we cross Hammersmith Bridge (dismounted) and ride on through Barnes. We might stop at the café in the quirky Old Sorting Office Arts Centre https://www.osoarts.org.uk/cafe-bar for refreshments if it’s not too busy.

For our return ride, we have the option of crossing back over the river on Barnes Bridge where we have to dismount and carry our bikes onto the footbridge, as the gulley has unfortunately disappeared (!), or else riding through Mortlake and crossing at Chiswick Bridge. Then we will ride on into Chiswick House & Gardens (an alternative refreshment stop), and return to Ealing via Acton Park and Ealing Common.
