Starting point

Greater Manchester
M35 0LB

We will ride 10 miles along A as well as B roads beside sometimes busy traffic together with 5 miles of traffic-free cycleway on the Fallowfield Loop and separate cycle lanes along the busy Alan Turing Way, past the Etihad stadium.

There's a short easy climb at the beginning of Woodhouses followed by a long moderately steep descent after we pass Brookdale Golf Club & onto Green Lane then another short steep descent after the level crossing on Berry Brow opposite Clayton Vale finished with a steady long climb up Edge Lane into Droylsden.

A detour to visit Fairfield Moravian Settlement will follow.

You MUST be used to riding alongside moving traffic on your right and parked cars on your left, especially in pairs on narrow and bendy roads. Please be mindful at all times especially with vehicles turning LEFT either right infront of you or overtaking from behind to do so, especially at busy intersections. There's a couple of junctions where we'll need to move right into the primary position in preparation for turning right at the traffic lights.

Lunch will be around noon inside the café within 93 Church Lane also known as Harpurhey Wellbeing Centre:- https://www.hmhc.co.uk/no93

We'll return to G.R.O.W.E. using a mixture of streets & towpaths along the Rochdale Canal for the last 2 miles of our ride.
