All Credit for this ride goes to Gill White. A very good route created on the hoof. I thoroughly enjoyed it so thought I would use it as a last visit to the lift before it closes for the winter on October 31st. A choice of 2 café stops, either the boatlift cafe, or the ice cream farm.

So a new start point for Widnes, Spike Island car park. Over the bridge and onto the canal, through Higher Whitley, Antrobus, towards Pickmere and turning to Great Budworth. (ice cream farm now on winter hours so not available)
From Great Budworth through Comberbach to the Boat Lift, we then go over the top and drop down into Runcorn, back over the bridge and return to Spike Island.

We'll ride at a steady pace of 8 - 10 mph on this ride and we'll keep our pace at a level so that we can all stay together.
Remember, this is not a race, but a leisurely ride at a pace to suit the slowest in the group!
Please check your bike over the night before the ride, tyres inflated, all bolts tight, lubricated. Clothing, helmet & lights checked and ready. Please ensure you have a pump and a couple of spare tubes in case of punctures and a good secure lock.
It would be great to have some new & some familiar faces on this ride, you're all welcome & I look forward to riding with you.
Please be at the start point at least 15 mins before the ride start time, ready to ride, so that we are able to get away at the stated start time.
