Gamlingay, Tempsford ,Blunham, Willington, Cardington, Old Warden, Ickwell, Northill, and back via Sandy to Everton.

A lovely route into Bedfordshire, through pretty villages, via country roads and along the Old Varsity line now a well tarmaced Sustrans route. Approx 33 miles. So one needs to be comfortable riding this distance, and pace 11-13mph.

All tarmac, we will cross some busy roads, but mainly quiet roads and some are totally traffic free.

Stopping for coffee and cake at The cowshed cafe at Northill, a cyclist and walkers cafe, about 20 miles in. Otherwise drink stops as needed or to regroup.

Helmet, lights, Spare inner tube and means to fix a puncture. Warm clothes, preferably high Viz. Drinks bottle, and energy snack.

We never leave anyone behind
