This Guided Ride is a beginners mountain bike ride, brought to you by a qualified Fundamentals of Mountain Bike Leader.  To deliver rides as per the remit of the Fundamentals of MTB Award, we also hold a valid 2 day outdoor first aid certificate.

There are no major roads on this ride but there is 2 quiet country lanes that don't last long

From Whitegate we head towards Ravensclough on the Whitegate Way which is obviously an old railway line. From there we head towards Stonyford and the Forest on road.
At this point we go deep into the forest going around Blackmere, touching on Hunger Hill turning short of Battleaxe Road to head to the farthest point from the start, Waterloo Gate.
Using some of the Sandstone and Gruffalo Trails we head back towards the visitor centre for a well-earned break. Bring you own snack though!
After the break we head towards the old Marley works on to Gig Hole, Crabtree Green then back to Ravensclough to pick up the Whitegate Way again and back to the finish with a few variants’ on the way back if you wish

There will be some mud to contend with no doubt and some climbing and diving.

Single track, Trails and quite Roads

Delamere Centre Cafe and when needed, not rush

For mountain bike only, helmets must be worn. Basic tool kit, pump, inner tube and puncture repair kit. We will be stopping at the Delamere Centre Café but you can bring your own snack too.

We never leave anyone behind
