This Guided Ride is a beginners mountain bike ride, brought to you by a qualified Fundamentals of Mountain Bike Leader. To deliver rides as per the remit of the Fundamentals of MTB Award, we also hold a valid 2 day outdoor first aid certificate and Safeguarding Course.

The ride starts from Gummers How Car Park on Fell Foot Brow from which we head up on tarmac to Cartmel Fell via Goswick Hall. Once there we get on the trails taking in Raven’s Brow Foxfield and Simpson Ground (which we see twice).
From there we head down to Staveley-in-Cartmel via Raven Scar where the most technical part of the ride is but well withing the capability of the group.
From there we head towards Fell Foot itself (which is lovely) for lunch which will be self-catering
After lunch we head back to Staveley-in-Cartmel then onto Ayside, before the climb back up to Simpson Ground for the second time. When we get to Raven Scar, we turn right avoiding the technical bit and head towards Chapelhouse and Astley’s Plantations. Finally, we come onto Sow How Lane and Fell foot Brow back to the car park which is free.
