Via North Dorset Trailway from Shillingstone through Blandford, continuing on NCN25 on quiet lanes through Langton Long and up the Tarrant valley to Tarrant Rushton with a short but big climb to Windy Corner and its WW2 airfield created in 1943 in preparation for the launch of glider planes carrying storm troopers and tanks to Normandy in the early hours of DDay. The airfield is now the location for a new cycling area to attract more riders to north Dorset. Please come and show your support for the initiative.
