Fold and Stable

We leave Walker Fold Car Park and head down to Chorley via Horwich. The way back is more uphill. We leave Chorley on the A6 before cutting across to Bolton Road via Grimeford Lane. We then continue through Horwich joining Chorley New Road and making our way back to Walker Fold via Markland Hill and Old Kiln Lane.

A short but perfectly formed ride from Walker Fold to The Stable Cafe in the centre of Chorley

Exclusively tarmaced roads including some A roads suitabel for more confident road riders.

We'll have refreshments at the Stable Cafe in the centre of Chorley. On the way home, we'll stop to catch our breath after ascents.

Please check your bike over the night before the ride, tyres inflated, all bolts tight, lubricated. Clothing, helmet & lights checked and ready. Please ensure you have a pump and a couple of spare tubes in case of punctures and a good secure lock. Please be at the start point at least 15 mins before the ride start time, ready to ride, so that we can get away at the stated start time of 9.30. Although helmets are only recommended by law and not deemed to be essential, anyone not wearing a helmet will not be able to join the ride. Don’t forget your pennies/pounds for the café stop. Please ensure you bring along a drink for the ride.
