FLAB social Leicestershire North West- Bennerley viaduct & Sipley Park

Starting from Trent Lock we will ride up the Erewash canal to Stanton Lock where we will then go up the Nutbrook trail and into Shipley Park, picking some random trails before stopping for a break at one of the cafes within the park. After the cafe we head out of the park and back down to the Erewash canal at Cotmanhay. Here will have a ride onto the new cycle path over the Ilson Giant, https://www.bennerleyviaduct.org.uk/ before retracing back to the canal for the ride back to the start point.

This an off road ride on well surfaced trails suitable for MTB/gravel/CX or hybrid bikes. There may be some mud patches and puddles depending on the weather

A social ride from Trent Lock, North on the canal trails, through Shipley Park and passing the Iron Giant (Bennerley viaduct) on the way back

Offroad gravel and tarmac trails

Nutbrook cafe, Derby Lodge or Ramblers coffee shop in Shipley Park

Please wear a helmet and bring anything you may need to fix a mechanical
